Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 26, 2026 · AppLabs, LLC
AppLabs, LLC (“we”, “us”) makes Lintel (“the App”), an Android home-screen app. This policy explains what Lintel reads, what happens to it, and what we receive. The short version: Lintel collects no data. Everything it reads stays on your phone, and it has no permission to use the internet.
What Lintel reads, and why
To be a launcher and show you what your apps can do, Lintel reads the following on your phone:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your installed apps (names and icons) | To list them, search them and open them — what every launcher does. |
| Each app's granted permissions | To show privacy labels (camera, microphone, location, contacts…) and the “Can access” list in the app details. |
| Each app's code (its installed APK files) | To find the names of known tracker SDKs. Lintel only reads class names; it never runs, changes or copies another app. |
| Which apps have accessibility, device-admin or notification access switched on | To show “Special access” in the app details. |
| Your work profile and Private space (Android 15+) | To list their apps. Lintel can't read their permissions; unlocking Private space uses Android's own lock, and Lintel never sees your PIN. |
None of this leaves your phone. Lintel has no internet permission, so it can't send anything anywhere, and we never receive it.
What Lintel stores
Your settings (favourites, renamed and hidden apps, swipe and appearance choices), the tracker-scan results, whether you have Lintel Pro, and — only until you choose to send or discard it — a crash report are stored in Lintel's private storage on your phone. Android backups and device-to-device transfers are turned off for Lintel, so which apps you hide never leaves the phone. Uninstalling Lintel deletes all of it.
Fingerprint, face and screen lock
If you protect hidden apps (Lintel Pro), Lintel asks Android to show its own fingerprint, face or screen-lock prompt. Android only tells Lintel whether it succeeded; Lintel never receives or stores biometric data or your PIN.
Lintel Pro and Google Play
Lintel Pro is a one-time in-app purchase made through Google Play. Google processes the payment under Google's Privacy Policy; we don't receive your payment details. Lintel talks to the Play Store app on your phone to check the purchase. Google Play's billing library includes a component for sending usage logs to Google; Lintel leaves it out, so Lintel sends Google nothing.
Links
Links in Lintel (this policy, the terms, our other apps) open in your browser or the Play Store, under their own privacy policies.
Crash reports
Lintel contains no crash-reporting or analytics code, and it never sends anything itself. If Lintel crashes, it saves a short report on your phone: the error, the Lintel and Android versions, and your phone model. The next time Lintel opens, it asks whether you'd like to send it. If you tap Send report, your own email app opens with the report addressed to us, so you can read or change it before sending; we use it only to fix the problem. Whichever you choose, Lintel then deletes the saved report.
Separately, if you've allowed it in your phone's settings, Google may share basic crash statistics with us through Google Play Console; these don't identify you.
Tracker data
Tracker data: AppLabs tracker database, based on εxodus Privacy (exodus-privacy.eu.org). Open Database License 1.0. It's built into the App; Lintel never downloads it.
Children
Lintel collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date. Because Lintel collects nothing, a change could only be to how the App works on your phone.
