Android launcher · by AppLabs

A calmer home screen that tells you what your apps can see.

Lintel is a text-first launcher: a clock, a few favourites, and every app one swipe away. Next to each app it shows what that app is allowed to use — camera, microphone, location, contacts — and which known trackers are in its code. It works entirely on your phone, with no internet permission at all.

Privacy labels

Camera, microphone, location (including “all the time”) and contacts, right after each app's name. Long-press for everything an app has been allowed.

Tracker scan

Lintel reads each app's code on your phone and lists the tracker SDKs it finds, from a database of more than 400 based on εxodus Privacy, and shows how to cut tracking with Android's own settings.

Hidden apps & Private space

Hide apps from the list (long-press the clock to see them), and use Android's Private space for apps that need a real lock.

Nothing leaves your phone

No internet permission, no account, no ads, no analytics. Lintel couldn't send your data anywhere if it tried.

Free, with an optional Pro

Everything that tells you about your privacy is free. Lintel Pro is a one-time purchase that adds 12 favourites, fingerprint or PIN protection for hidden apps, a Privacy overview ranking every app, and home-screen styles.

Honest about its limits

“Can use the camera” means the app has been granted the permission, not that it's using it right now — Android shows a green dot for that. A tracker found in an app's code may not be used, and code shrinking can hide some, so “None found” isn't a guarantee. Lintel can't read the permissions of work-profile or Private space apps.
